How To Quickly Start A Stubborn Mower

I used to have really crappy lawn mowers that would cause me all sorts of trouble each spring when I would try to get them running again. So what I did was got a 6" socket extension and cut the ratchet end off which left me with a straight piece with a socket friendly end.Add a 22mm socket and get out your VARIABLE speed electric drill. It is very important that you can control the speed because you need to spool up the motor and not jolt it at full RPM.Take the cover off the pull cord assembly and give it a short pull if you don't know which direction the motor turns.Take off the pull cord assembly to get at the nut on top of the motor, this is where you fit the socket.Start slow and increase speed steadily till you've got that motor cranking at a good rate of speed. When it starts to fire on its own remove the socket QUICKLY!.It really works great!
